Be still my heart. You're about to talk about your most favorite thing in the world. 

Roasted garlic is by far my most desired ingredient. Food just elevates and brings depths and layers of flavor when you add it to the mix. It doesn't hurt that it's good for you too. 

You might be worried about the - can we say - potency that comes with garlic like a slap to the face. Here's a few tips to battle that dragon. But really, if your friends and family can't hang, do you really like them that much?  I, on the other hand, have just become your friend for life. 

 
 

So put roasted garlic in your arsenal for home cooking. A big batch will last for about a week in the fridge. But that's only if you don't eat it all in one sitting first. 

 
 

Roasted Garlic

Ingredients
Peeled head of garlic
Pinch of salt
1-2 Tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps

  1. Put all of the cloves in a small foil pouch.
  2. Drizzle with vegetable and add pinch of salt.
  3. Roast in 400°F for 25-30 minutes.
